IDIBELL is seeking a Head of the Scientific Culture and Communication Unit

El IDIBELL es una entidad que tiene como objetivo promover, desarrollar, gestionar y difundir la investigación biomédica en el campus de Bellvitge, así como fomentar la transferencia de tecnología y conocimiento derivados de las actividades de investigación.

Funcions 
  • Planning the communications strategy of IDIBELL, including planning how this is to be achieved and setting timeframes for achieving the strategy. The candidate will be also responsible for the delivery of the communications plan, acting as coordinator and working in collaboration with other areas to ensure consistency of messages and alignment of content.
  • Ensure the strategic alignment with the Communication Departments within the campus (main IDIBELL partners).
  • Responsible for a coherent and planned approach to producing IDIBELL press releasees. Ensuring responsible communication, guaranteeing the selection of messages (based on excellence quality criteria) and establishing relations with media and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the overall corporate presence on social media platforms, overseeing the content creation and planning for all social media activities with the aim of providing coordination across different channels to reach targeted audiences.
  • Co-responsible for the supervision of activities related with of "Responsible Research and Innovation" policies: Public engagement and Science education.
  • Responsible for IDIBELL digital content creation and management. Website upgrade and update. Coordination with IT Team for technical matters. Serving as editor for other users and ensuring content alignment. Responsible for content design and production.
  • Responsible for coordinating internal communication strategy. Internal communication include building and maintaining internal communication channels, IDIBELL newsletters, internal mailing, intranet content, etc. Building the IDIBELL community and developing a corporate branding strategy.
  • Responsible for the publication of the IDIBELL Annual report, as well as other official publications.
  • Responsible for the coordination and organization of institutional events and activities. Co-organization of scientific events with IDIBELL researchers.

Managing duties related to the UCCi; team management, coordination and budget allocation.

Requisits 

 

  • Holder of a bachelor's degree (preferably in mass communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field, or life sciences). MSc preferably in science communications, strategy communications, corporate branding, etc.
  • Professional experience is required; at least 3 years of demonstrated track record and skills gained with similar responsibilities.
  • Ability to conceptualize, create and deliver an organizational communications strategy.
  • Professional experience on Scientific communication: biomedical research.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing digital content management systems. Experience with social media platforms (twitter, facebook, linkedin, youtube, Instagram). Familiarity with Google Analytics.
  • Experience of writing, editing and producing written communications for targeted audiences.
  • Understanding of the need for and value of a visual identity and branding. Experience of setting and working with branding guidelines.
  • English and Catalan/Spanish to an advanced and sophisticated level, both written and verbal.
Es valorarà 
  • Understanding of web technologies such as wordpress, html, etc.
  • Good team-working skills, ability to effectively manage multiple activities or projects of varying complexity with conflicting priorities involving cross-functional teams and aggressive time constraints and workload.
  • Advanced communication and collaboration skills across a range of audiences including researchers, clinicians, students, staff, governing bodies and the wider public.
  • Excellent social communication skills.
  • Service-oriented, multi-tasking, collaborative, attention to detail, energy, flair, adaptability and a willingness to learn
Què oferim? 
  • Permanent full-time position (40 hours/week)
