IDIBELL is seeking for a Marie Curie PostDoc candidates to incorporate within the Gynecologcial Cancer Group

Duties 

The Gynecologcial Cancer Group of the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL) is seeking for a motivated PostDoc willing to apply for the Marie S. Curie Individual Fellowships 2020 in the fields of cancer biology and immune therapy. Successful candidates will join a young, international, dynamic and well-equipped/funded research group with a multidisciplinary research environment in the gynecological oncology field.

Candidates will receive dedicated institutional support with the preparation of the MSCA application in order to achieve a successful translational proposal aimed at decoding novel actionable gene networks to increase tumor immunogenicity in the endometrial cancer (EC) field. To achieve our goals we will perform functional biology experiments employing functional screenings using customized CRISPR libraries, next generation sequencing, organoids, patient-derived EC orthoxenografts and patient primary samples. Requirements 
  • Doctoral degree in biological/medical sciences or at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience at the time of the call deadline.
  • Mobility:

to apply for a Standard European Fellowships (ST) the candidate must not have resided or carried out the main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months between 9th September 2017 and 9th September 2020.

For the Career Restart Panel (CAR) or the Reintegration Panel (RI) application, the candidate must not have resided or carried out the main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 36 months between 9th September 2017 and 9th September 2020

  • We look for an independent, creative and motivated individual with aptitudes for teamwork and good communicative/social skills. The candidate will be expected to take a lead in several aspects of the project while enriching and contributing to the pool of knowledge within the hosting group.
  • Previous grounded experience in the cancer field and/or immunology is required.
  • Fluent English language
Desired skills 

Previous experience with mouse modeling/mouse work will be positively valued and computational skills, although not required, will be enthusiastically welcomed.
