IDIBELL researchers launch two projects to investigate brain changes precursors of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's

The group of Neuropathology at IDIBELL , led by the researcher Isidre Ferrer has initiated two research projects aimed at identifying brain changes precursors of Alzheimer and Parkinson diseases.

The study Identification of a transcriptome of risk in the early stages of Parkinson's disease is one of the IDIBELL projects that have received funding in the last call for assistance from the Health Research Fund (FIS) of the Health Institute Carlos III. The study on Alzheimer's disease, is included in the project DEVELAGE (common tone Pathways Brain Development and aging) of seven European research centers, and has received funding from the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union.
